Northrop Grumman

Ferra has been a key Australian supplier to Northrop Grumman (NGC) since 2005. Initially Ferra was awarded a contract to provide aluminium and titanium mechanical sub-assemblies for the centre fuselage in support of the F-35 program. The statement of work involved supply chain management, complex manufacture and logistics management. In 2006 Ferra was awarded platinum supplier status with NGC on the back of strong consistent performance on the F-35 program. Platinum status is gained through excellence in delivery, quality and customer satisfaction and is awarded following eight successive quarters of on time delivery and zero rejects.

In 2011, as part of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) program, Ferra was able to further develop the relationship with NGC and gained contract awards on F-18 for the supply of complex sub-assemblies on the Super Hornet program. This was primarily serviced out of the Brisbane facility, however a local logistics facility was set up in Anaheim close by to the customer to provide forward stocking and after sales support to NGC. Ferra is now recognised as one of NGC’s key strategic Australian suppliers and has resulted in new contract awards on E2D and most recently Triton.

The relationship has continued to grow and develop between Ferra and NGC over the last 10 years. Ferra has performed at an outstanding level on all programs and still holds platinum status with NGC. Ferra is the only Australian company to have achieved this.
